"Le Horla" is perhaps Guy de Maupassant's best-known fantastic novella, an early masterpiece of psychological horror literature. Matthias Brandt and Jens Thomas take Maupassant's story and other texts as the basis for their latest collaboration.
A man begins to suffer from strange apparitions. He sees things and hears noises that no one but he can hear. He becomes increasingly obsessed with the idea that a terrible unknown being is taking possession of him. The invisible becomes an obsession, until one day he is faced with the realization: "I can no longer want, but someone wants for me."
The program's soundtrack and songs are by Jens Thomas. With "Demon", the two continue their joint work in "Psycho".
