Comedian Max Osswald goes on tour with his first solo program "Freude" (Joy)

Max Osswald is one of the hottest newcomers on the German comedy scene. He has already caught the attention of Michael Mittermeier, who booked him directly as the opening act for his sold-out show at Circus Krone. In his first program "Freude", Max talks about getting older, being uncool, his FSJ in kindergarten, what Munich has done to him, gets to the bottom of children's songs as well as pop music and German rap and whistles for equal rights after men. Max Osswald represents a new generation of stand-up comedy in Germany: creative and reflective! He shows that it is possible to deal with difficult topics in a light and funny way and that social criticism can be done without a warning finger. Max helps people to see things with a smile as well as a tear, even if they are sad. Whereby he actually always says: if one eye laughs and one cries, one of them is probably inflamed.

On his way to a full-length solo show, Max has already been a finalist in the "NightWash Talent Award" and "Quatsch Comedy Hot Shot" and was awarded the "Obernburger Mühlstein". He has also made over 600 appearances at mixshows and open mic nights throughout Germany. Since the opening of Michael Mittermeier's "Lucky Punch Comedy Club" in Munich, Max has been part of the permanent team of presenters and hosts the Tuesday evening show every week.

He has also delivered millions of clicked videos on Instagram and TikTok, appearances on TV and radio - and a book! "Von hier betrachtet sieht das scheiße aus" (dtv, 2022) is the title of Osswald's debut novel, which is already in its 4th edition and is being celebrated by the media and readers alike. Behind the scenes, Osswald writes storylines for "Dahoam is Dahoam" (BR) and gags for "Extra 3" (ARD/NDR), among others.
