With the exhibition "Ohne dieses Bild wär hier viel mehr Platz" we are showing the second retrospective exhibition of the artist Max Pimpernelli, who died in 2023.
The exhibition will open on April 30 in the Weltkunstzimmer (Doors open: 5 p.m. Opening: 7 p.m.) and can be viewed from May 2 to 18 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 5 to 8 p.m.

The opening day will be accompanied by a small but exquisite music program.

We are looking forward to RiadXIO, Dr. Dreck, Botfly, jaaj.com and FLSNE, who will accompany the exhibition and its visitors musically into May.

Max Pimpernelli was born Max Hölter in Essen in 1990 and studied under Jan Kolata at TU Dortmund University from 2011 to 2016 and at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 2014.
Pimpernelli completed his studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 2020 as a master student of Andreas Schulze.
In the same year, Pimpernelli won the 74th Bergischer Kunstpreis.
After two residency scholarships in Bad Kreuznach and Altena in 2021, Max exhibited for the local art association in Soest in August 2022, among others.

In summer 2024, the first retrospective took place at Atelierhaus KöX, which also celebrated its official opening at the same time. Max was co-initiator of the establishment of this socio-cultural meeting place.

We cordially invite all interested parties to the Weltkunstzimmer to see Max's pictures again or to rediscover them.
We look forward to seeing you!
