The Maxi Valdes Hammond Trio is a fresh band line-up that is fully dedicated to the flow of hard bop and improvised groove music.
The musical diversity of their music can be compared to the color palette that female artists use.
In addition to arrangements of pieces by Thelonious Monk, Michael Becker, John Scofield or Joe Henderson, for example, the trio plays pieces they have composed themselves.
What characterizes the special sound and style of this trio is the freedom of grooves, improvisation and willingness to take risks.
The Maxi Valdes Hammond Trio loves to discover the music while playing and to share this with the audience.
"Real art happens in the moment and knows no social, cultural or sexual boundaries." With this philosophy, the Maxi Valdes Hammond Trio has been presenting its own music since 2021, which includes influences from South America, North America, Europe and Africa. The three musicians are convinced that through the strong mixture of different cultures, every generation, every gender regardless of sexual orientation, every origin, skin color and culture can identify with their music.

The Maxi Valdés Trio is constantly on the lookout for collaborations with different musicians in order to revitalize their music, which is closely related to hard bop.
