At last, young budding film fans can also discover the magical place for movies - DAS KINO!

Maxi takes pre-school children on a cinema adventure: four to five short films embedded in an interactive program let them experience the cinema as a place, teach them exciting things about the history of film and the stories on the big screen - it's simply fun! Four times a year: in March, June, September and December. All films are part of a cinema trip where budding film fans can discover the world of cinema and short films.

By the way: all the short films have already been shown at short film festivals for kindergarten children. Some have even won a prize at the KUKI - Young Short Film Festival Berlin, the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen or the Mo&Friese - Young Short Film Festival Hamburg.

Anyone who goes on the cinema trip receives a certificate after three visits, which distinguishes them as a cinema expert. The program takes place on Sundays at noon and lasts one hour. Of course, "the grown-ups" can also come to the movies!

Always wanted to know how cinema works? Then come along and become a cinema expert! Maxi will show you exciting short films and explain how the technology works behind the scenes: How is a movie made? How do images and sound get into the movie theater and onto the big screen? Join the second cinema adventure and experience cinema and short films in a completely new way!

Want even more adventure? Then come to the third event on 14.09.2025, when Maxi will present new short films and listen carefully with you in the cinema!

Maxi takes you on a sound journey to the movies! Together we will listen very carefully and discover how noises and sounds are used to tell exciting stories. Maxi will explain to you which sounds make a movie a real movie and has some great works from the short film festivals in her luggage. Let yourself be surprised and experience how sound and image merge into a unique experience!
