French sacred music of the 20th century forms the core of this program, which was ultimately inspired by the Vleugels organ in Chemnitz Castle Church, which was completed in 2011. Conductor Philipp Ahmann was enthusiastic about the tonal possibilities of the instrument, which was designed according to the principles of the famous French organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. The sound and disposition of the organ offer the best conditions for the interpretation of accompanied vocal works, which will be impressively demonstrated by organist Christian Schmitt and the famous MDR Radio Choir.
