Meet the City: Urbane Mobilität - Daten, Kooperationen & Letzte Meile

Mobility is a decisive factor for the quality of life in both urban and rural areas. Rising population figures and growing online retail combined with increased inner-city delivery traffic are just two examples of challenges that require innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.

The second edition of the "Meet the City" event series will focus on the central topic of mobility. In this context, employees from the Mobility Department of the City of Munich will provide insights into their work. Major challenges also require cooperation when it comes to mobility. Accordingly, partners of the Mobility Department will also be presenting exciting projects from the state capital. A total of four impulses invite all interested parties to find out more and get involved:

In addition to two last-mile projects and current traffic data, presented by the Mobility Department, the Digital Hub Mobility will bring the "Besser Umsteigen" ("Better Change") project to the stage. We are asking ourselves the following questions: Can existing mobility routines be broken up, or are they already being broken up? What alternative mobility options need to be available? And how can commuters be motivated to use these alternatives?

MCube and EIT Urban Mobility will also be presenting at the event: two initiatives that promote cooperation between cities, industry, universities, research and innovation.

As a series of events organized by the City of Munich at the Munich Urban Colab, "Meet the City" offers regular insights into innovative urban projects and promotes dialogue between the innovation community, business, start-ups, science, citizens, city administration and anyone interested in sustainable and liveable urban design.

After the content part, it's time to get talking, make contacts and discuss solutions for our liveable city of the future together.
