A musical comedy of the 20/30s

The mid-thirties of the last century.
Adele Würmeling and Herwarth Moksch are in for trouble:
The talent agency has made a booking mistake and now the tingeltange diva and her backyard tenor find themselves facing the devout audience of the Walhalla Wippelsdorf e.V. music society. Wagner's "Ring of the Nibelungs" is on the program and the big performance is just around the corner.
Adele doesn't know Wagner's opera. Hopefully the audience doesn't either. But Adele and Herwarth need the money. With the right costume and sweeping gestures, nobody will notice that their repertoire is anything but grand opera...
But are there really only priests and village teachers sitting in the front row or are they the "bloodhounds" so feared by Adele? As the play progresses, the situation for the two of them gets worse and worse. Herwarth simply can't keep his mouth shut. But he is prepared - or so he thinks.
