Paintings by Klaus Chabowski
in acrylic, watercolor and fineliner
Klaus Chabowski has used watercolors and acrylic paints for his paintings, drawing mainly with fineliners. The pictorial elements are representational, regardless of the chosen medium. He has not fixed his choice of motif. Works from the areas of flora, fauna, well-known buildings, portraits and people are shown.
He considers it a privilege to have complete freedom in his choice of motifs. Drawing skills are an important basis for his figurative depictions. The idea of depicting a particular motif is influenced by very different facts. Complicated, exotic, emotional, impressive, travel memories, TV documentaries, etc. are often the impetus for a new picture. Looking at the work of other artists is also often inspiring, allowing new ideas to flow into his paintings.
Chabowski always works in the studio and usually uses his own photographs for the main motif. Each picture is created with the same passion, care and patience, regardless of the complexity of the motifs. This and the motifs he chooses are certainly the reason why, when looking at older works, he can often remember why he painted these pictures at the time.
Many examples of the above can be found in the exhibition; if you are interested, he will be happy to tell you about the respective stories of their creation. A broad spectrum of different motifs awaits you.
He is sure that you will enjoy looking at his exhibition!
