Melancholia Uncovered - Musik um Albrecht Dürer

The renowned Renaissance music ensemble Capella de la Torre under the direction of Katharina Bäuml explores the music of Albrecht Dürer, who was a pioneer of the Renaissance in Germany. Thematically, the focus is on a painting that is one of the artist's most famous works: In harmony with the music, the video artist Jean-François Guiton takes up the theme in his projections and makes reference to Dürer's visual language. In this way, the fusion of image and sound in this concert can open up new approaches and ways of perception for the audience.
