Memorial of a Goldfish - internationale Bühnenkunst erzählt von Erinnerungen und Vergessen
In the organizer's words:
A popular myth says that goldfish have a memory of 3 seconds. In fact, it is more like 5 months. There are 80 years between 1945 and "Project 2025". What do we remember, what do we forget? Are societies that forget their past doomed to repeat mistakes? What power does storytelling have? Who decides what is remembered and what should be forgotten?
27 young artists from Florence, Istanbul, Cologne, Lille, Ljubljana and Marseille will embark on a joint journey through memory and imagination as part of the ROOTS & ROUTES Experience 2025 under the artistic direction of Sophie Laffont (Marseille). In their interdisciplinary performance "Memorial of a Goldfish", they explore these questions and erect a memorial for a goldfish. Or is it a memorial service?
World premiere on July 29, 2025 at 8 pm in the Alte Feuerwache/ Bühne (Doors: 19:30).
A second performance will take place on July 30, 2025 at 20:00 at the same location (Doors: 19:30).
The ticket price is 9 to 15 € according to self-assessment.
