A musical by students for students - that was the idea when we started writing our own musical a year ago. Inspired by our own everyday university life, lunch together in the canteen and our love of stew, the canteen musical was born.
Now the Mensa musical is entering its second round!
With a new cast, a breath of fresh air and room for even more audience, we are bringing the musical back to the stage at the Spektakulum Düsseldorf.
Come and see it (again) and look forward to an hour of dance, music and reverie!
What's it all about?
A group of friends spend their lunch break in their university canteen. The students' usual musings unexpectedly turn into crazy dreams, lively discussions and utopian wishes for the future. What begins as a fun thought experiment develops into a tangible hope - the hope of being able to actively shape the future.
Who are we?
We are Helene Baaden, Isabelle Petzold and Julius Fischer, three students of media and cultural studies at HHU, who wrote, composed and directed the Mensa musical as part of a project. Together with our wonderful ensemble, we are bringing the Mensa musical to the stage for the second time in September.
