MENSCHINE - Tanztheaterstück von Maria Seidel mit der Juniorcompany

In the organizer's words:

Am I good enough? Am I fast enough? Am I enough?
Even the youngest among us are familiar with pressure.
Pressure to perform. Time pressure. Pressure of expectations.
They struggle with it in the school system, but also in their free time, within the family or among friends. They feel stressed, they are expected to function and sometimes even threaten to break.

In our dance theatre piece MENSCHINE, Optimizer builds a machine. This consists of dancers, i.e. real people, a sensation. The machine is constantly being improved, revised and optimized.
Bigger. Faster. More efficient.
This puts more and more pressure on the machine and its individual parts. It threatens to break down.
