Seven years after the last album "Ich vs. Wir", nothing seems to be the same anymore. Pandemic, lateral thinkers, war, more war, shit. No pats on the back, no you-know-what-else. "Gute Laune ungerecht verteilt", the sixth album by the indie rock band from Hamburg, was released in April 2024 and is so stirring precisely because it doesn't dwell on pleasant reunion folklore. Kettcar keep in touch with the here and now. And have written perhaps the best lyrics in their history.
Halls up and down the country are now full to the brim to experience Marcus Wiebusch & Co. in their usual live intensity. In addition to the haunting new songs, there are of course also classics such as "Graceland" to be heard.
On Wednesday, August 6, Kettcar, a true great of the German music scene, will be a guest at the Centralstation as part of the Merck Sommerperlen.
The chilled-out festival courtyard in the Carree is a great place to start the evening. Seating and a tasty drink from our outdoor bar, plus Katz Records at the mixing desk will get you in the mood for the evening, and not just musically.
