Metahaven - Chaos Theory

In the organizer's words:

As a further highlight of the current solo exhibition "Metahaven - The Feeling Sonnets (Transitional Object)" (only until 14.12.2024), we are showing another of the poetic film artworks by the Amsterdam art collective Metahaven in the LURU cinema: "Chaos Theory" (25 min, 2021). Metahaven will also talk about their cinematic approach at the event. Like "The Feeling Sonnets (Transitional Object)", this film also develops its impact less through a conventional narrative thread than through strong, ambiguous images and feelings. "Loosely situated around the two protagonists Y/Z and X, the film unfolds as an exploration of the relationship between mother and daughter, of what is said and unsaid, reality and dream." (Kathrin Heinrich, in: Springerin 2/2021) The film screening thus offers the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of Metahaven's art and to enter into a direct exchange with them.
