MEUTE, the techno marching band from Hamburg with their iconic red marching band uniforms, is simply cult! Using only acoustic instruments, they are carrying out a revolution by combining the hypnotically driving sound of techno, house and deep house tracks with expressive brass music. The idea was born in a Berlin club in 2014. The techno sound was booming loudly and MEUTE mastermind Thomas Burhorn was standing there, feeling the rhythm and energy of this music, looking up at the DJ booth and thinking to himself: there should actually be more going on up there. What would it be like if a brass band stood there and raved live? That was the beginning! He then drummed up an eleven-piece band of brass players, percussionists and drummers. The first tracks quickly went viral and MEUTE became one of the most booked festival acts as an exciting marching band thanks to their hypnotic sound and energetic performances - celebrated worldwide from Coachella to MS Dockville to the Hollywood Bowl! So MEUTE will be performing live, open air and for free on Bremen's market square for the music festival finale? That's enough to make your skin crawl!
