Who is Michael Feindler? He has already been described as a "fine spirit of political cabaret," a "revolutionary poet," a "champion of thick-board drilling," or simply a "great asset to cabaret." That may all be true. Nevertheless, such designations are only an approximation of the Feindler phenomenon. For a satirist, his lyrics are too close to reality; for a sharp analyst of the times, he is too insightful; and for a songwriter, he too often relies on the clarity of melody-free poetry.

In addition, he is certainly entertaining, but not a solo entertainer - he enjoys talking to the audience too much for that. And anyone who praises him as a shrewd word acrobat is quick to underestimate the seriousness of content that goes hand in hand with linguistic playfulness. In order to describe him accurately, it is of little help to outline Feindler's broad range of topics, from "fear of descent" to "confidence in the future. What is decisive is how he links his thoughts together.

Who Michael Feindler is is therefore most likely to be revealed live on stage. And possibly the current program is the last opportunity for anyone who wants to say for once: "I was there for his breakthrough."
