Michael Flügel Quartett

Wayne Shorter (1933-2023) was one of the most important saxophonists for jazz in the 20th century. The Michael Flügel Quartet would like to pay tribute to his compositions and his life. Highlights such as Speak No Evil, Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, Pinocchio, Witch Hunt, ESP, but also rarely heard pieces such as Toy Tune and Fall form the basis of the program. The new arrangements make the works sound fresh and lively. They bear witness to a European approach to the saxophonist's work. The many positive reviews are proof of their success. The whole thing is underscored by improvisations by a well-rehearsed band, where you are gripped with excitement from the very beginning and can look forward to a wide variety of musical colors.
