Of superheroes, healing powers and first love

The MICHEL Children and Youth Film Festival invites you on a cinematic journey around the world. From September 27 to October 3, a total of 16 feature-length and short films will be shown at the Studio-Kino and CinemaxX Dammtor in Hamburg. Young moviegoers can look forward to stories from New Zealand, Canada, South Korea and many other countries.

Every autumn since 2003, the MICHEL team has invited young moviegoers to a film journey parallel to the "big" festival to discover the latest productions from faraway countries and get to know other worlds. An age-appropriate moderation, films in the original language and many great guests, including actors and directors, make a visit to the festival an exciting experience. At the MICHEL Kinder und Jugend Filmfest, we work closely with Hamburg's youth and cultural institutions and other social organizations.

32ND FILMFEST HAMBURG

FILMFEST HAMBURG will take place from September 26 to October 5, 2024. Over 120 productions from all over the world will be shown as world, European, German or Hamburg premieres. The festival cinemas are the Abaton, Alabama Kino, CinemaxX Dammtor, Metropolis, Passage and Studio-Kino.
