The Canadian alt-pop artist comes to Germany for two shows

The 22-year-old Filipino-Canadian musician MICO is a prime example of hard work paying off. In the digital era of overnight success, the Toronto artist never gave up and started singing and connecting with new listeners on Discord and Twitch at the age of 16. Since then, he has built up a fanbase of over 1.6 million people without the help of a major label, whom he affectionately calls the "Amicos". In addition, his music now has over 100 million streams on streaming platforms and the musician has played his first sold-out tours in North America and Europe. With "cut my hair", the singer landed a top 20 radio hit in 2022 and gave his career a powerful boost. Since then, he has sold out three headline tours across the USA and Canada and released three more viral hits ("HOMESICK", "TV" and "Senses"), all of which are included on his EP "Internet hometown hero", released in 2024. His sound draws on spheres of alternative rock, pop-punk, singer-songwriter and indie pop and is held together by MICO's captivating voice in anthemic choruses. The artist continues to go full throttle in 2025, selling out his very first EU/UK tour, touring the USA with Nightly and performing at Lollapalooza in Berlin in July. At the end of 2025, MICO will be coming to Germany for two more headline shows, giving fans in Munich and Cologne the chance to experience his music live. It is only a matter of time before these concerts sell out.

After his debut single "who do you love" in 2019, MICO generated greater attention for the first time and followed up with his "21st century heartbreak EP" in 2020 and two singles in 2021. In 2022, he released his EP "second thoughts" with the successful tracks "down!" and "lie lie lie" as well as further singles, of which "cut my hair" was the most successful. In 2023, the artist released a total of 12 singles and 2 EPs: the "the tears we fight EP" and the "the afterparty EP", on which "another soul" and "better" proved to be the biggest fan favorites. Further singles were followed in 2024 by the "Internet hometown hero" EP, which MICO also released as a live version and a deluxe version in 2025. His next musical step is currently eagerly awaited by his fans and already promises to continue his success story.
