SONNENGESANG
Singing, improvisation, traditional, historical and contemporary soundscapes,
spontaneous compositions.
Songs and music from the Middle Ages by Francis of Assisi, Hildegard of Bingen, Llibre Vermell de Montserrat and others.

For the SONNENGESANG program, Micro Oper München invites the clarinettist and sound researcher Enrico Sartori to make music together.
Together they will explore and research the boundaries between historical and contemporary
between historical and contemporary interpretation, traditional and experimental
and experimental soundscapes. Surprises are guaranteed.

At the heart of the program is the Canticle of the Sun / Cantico delle creature Franz
of Assisi. The Canticle of the Sun is St. Francis' best-known prayer and was composed in the winter of 1224/1225 shortly before his death. It praises God with all his creatures, with "Sister Moon" and "Mother Earth". In "Brother Sun" he sees a symbol of the Creator himself.
