On June 21, 2025, we not only celebrate the official start of summer, but also Midsommar - probably the most magical festival in the north! In Sweden, the summer solstice is celebrated with music, dancing and wreaths of flowers. We bring this unique atmosphere to the Maschinenfabrik and invite you to celebrate the start of the summer months together!

What you can expect:

Live music by Nika Jonsson (from 6 pm)
Our café stage will become a world of sound: the fantastic singer/songwriter Nika Jonsson will enchant you with a mixture of pop and jazz, inspired by Nordic folklore. With keyboard, synth, harmonizer and vocoder she creates a unique atmosphere. Her songs - in German, Swedish and English - tell stories of trolls, elves, aliens and humans and take you into a world full of magic.

Weaving a wreath of flowers
What would Midsommar be without flower wreaths? In our small workshop, you can weave your own beautiful Midsummer wreath from fresh cut and meadow flowers. We have everything you need on site - all you have to do is bring your creativity!

Swedish delicacies & refreshing drinks
Of course, there will also be culinary highlights: In addition to classic cinnamon buns, other Nordic delicacies await you. There are also special summer drinks that will transport you to Scandinavian lightness.
