For its 13th festival edition, MINIATUREN invites around 50 artists to interpret the theme of DEEP DIGGING in a variety of ways. On January 17 and 18, the unknown will be explored, dug, excavated, searched for and brought to light. The invisible will be made visible and light brought into the darkness. All rooms of the historic Kontorhaus at Schildstraße 21 will be used for performances, dance, music, installations and theater - from the changing room to the studio, from the office to the theater hall, from the basement to the attic. DEEP DIGGING!

The THEATERKONTOR - Haus der freien Künste - opens its doors and invites artists from all disciplines to present their works in miniature format. All rooms of the historic Kontorhaus in Schildstraße will be used - from the changing room to the studio, from the office to the theater hall, from the basement to the roof.

Theme TIEF GRABEN at MINIATUREN

For this festival edition,MINIATUREN invites artists to interpret the theme of DEEP GRAVES. We descend into the unknown, dig, excavate, research, unearth, make the invisible visible, bring light into the darkness. Digging deep is hard work, digging deep can be dangerous, digging deep takes time and courage. A tribute to the undiscovered and the invisible that lies deep beneath the surface of our everyday perception. Let's get to the essential layer by layer, let's DIG DEEP.

The THEATERKONTOR and the miniature

The unusual view of things, working with smallness and limitation - these aspects can be found both in the concept of MINIATUREN and in the artistic work of the THEATERKONTOR, which has now existed for more than 40 years as a creative production venue for the independent dance and theater scene. In 2025, the THEATERKONTOR will once again succeed in inspiring artists from various disciplines with the idea of art on a small scale. They will help the miniature to achieve new greatness in a wide variety of ways.
