With his debut album "Paper Planes", Cologne indie newcomer MISTER WHISTLER invites you to a musical flight of fancy that gets under your skin. Recorded in Cologne, Rösrath and the Sicilian town of Modica, the album unfolds a rousing sound that transcends genre boundaries and drives emotions through all highs and lows. MISTER WHISTLER combines dreamy pop melodies with bluesy earthiness, which build up and grow into powerful post-rock thunderstorms. Filigree and powerful guitar playing meets expansive vocals, while pumping beats merge with billowing soundscapes - sometimes as gentle as a breeze blowing across the lake, sometimes as overwhelming as a storm that tears the sky apart.
