Mit der Faust in die Welt schlagen (Kommunales Kino Bremerhaven (KoKi))

In the organizer's words:

We are in 2006, experiencing a year in the childhood of Tobi and his older brother Philipp, who are growing up somewhere in the middle of nowhere, in East Saxony, in Sorbia, near Hoyerswerda. A childhood, but not a cozy one, yet the two brothers are very close despite the age difference. Everything happens episodically, as childhood is. When a swastika is smeared on the school wall, Philipp does not betray the older perpetrators. He wants to belong and is accepted into the group. At this point in the film, the plot picks up and we get caught up in the slow radicalization, but Philipp is not a Nazi, he rejects that!

It is the dreams that can never be realized, the hopes that never come to fruition, the wishes that are never fulfilled and the circumstances into which one is born that are aptly described by Mit der Faust in die Welt . Philipp gets more and more involved in the neo-Nazi clique, where friendship is above all receiving orders from a superior - but at least it's something like friendship!
