London, 1951: Nanette and John meet at a party. For him it is love at first sight, but Nanette, who was friends with Anne Frank and was the only one of her family to survive Bergen-Belsen, is afraid of happiness. They write to each other for almost two years, getting closer in letters - until Nanette decides to follow John to São Paulo. The author and screenwriter Melissa Müller ("Das Mädchen Anne Frank", "Bis zur letzten Stunde. Hitler's secretary recounts her life" and others) tells the story of a love after the Holocaust in "Mit dir steht die Welt nicht still. A love after the Holocaust" (Diogenes) tells of a (historically documented!) love that breaks through despite all the circumstances.
