Mit Sprache Malen - Ein Workshop von Hanna Kuster

Based on the current exhibition of works by Dieter Krieg at the MKM Museum Küppersmühle, the workshop is dedicated to the exciting interplay between word and image. Dieter Krieg, who powerfully integrates lettering, scraps of language and entire texts into his paintings, impressively demonstrates how language can become a form of visual expression.

In the workshop, we will explore how letters, words and sentences not only convey meaning, but also become design elements themselves. Participants are invited to experiment with writing as an artistic medium - be it as handwritten text, as a painterly element or as a creative fragment in a painting - and to develop their own works that explore the boundary between language and image in a new way.
