She was one of the most moving music greats of the 2000s. In just eight years, she sold over 33 million records and won several Grammy Awards. A world full of glitter, fans and flash. But where there is a lot of light, there is also shadow.
What does it look like behind the scenes? How much pressure can a person cope with and what (un)conscious dependencies arise?
The US-British film biography from 2024 impressively shows the private and professional challenges of a British soul and jazz singer & songwriter.
It sheds light on her strength and vulnerability and addresses society's expectations of women. Her struggles and triumphs highlight the importance of empowering female voices and challenging patriarchal structures.

In a cozy atmosphere, there will be a short input followed by a film screening.
Afterwards, there will be time for a short evaluation, which will encourage an exchange of ideas,
to reflect and discuss.
Drinks and snacks will be available (donation recommended). We look forward to seeing you!
Participation is free of charge, but the number of movie tickets is limited.
