Whether at an association meeting, youth welfare committee or networking meeting - more and more, moderators and process facilitators are faced with the challenge of being confronted with right-wing statements and actors. How do I navigate the tension between neutrality in my role as a facilitator and ensuring a democratic culture of discussion? What tools and methods do I have at my disposal to maintain control of the situation? We would like to address these and other questions in the workshop with practical exercises. The training combines methods from moderation and process support with those from the prevention of right-wing extremism and the confrontation with ideologies of inequality.
The workshop is aimed at full-time and voluntary activists and freelance facilitators and seminar leaders who have already gained initial experience in facilitating group processes and open event formats. It is also aimed at people who feel addressed and want to take part in the workshop.
A cooperation between the STZ Ricklingen, the Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V. (VNB) and the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Niedersachsen as part of Green Campus.
