MODULAR's hypnotic sound celebrates new German-language romanticism of 80s nostalgia, but quickly makes it clear that the musician brings her own authentic vision to the table.

When MODULAR entered the indie scene in 2023, Hamburg's music bubble first took notice, then she won over fans and critics across Germany with her fluid soundscapes, charismatic stage presence, artful stage design and remarkable emotionality that cleverly breaks the artificial coolness of her music.

The musician is a serious new and important act on the Hamburg indie scene, and her sound is also on the short lists of tastemaker magazines nationwide: as an organic and independent development of the soundscapes of influential bands such as Aurora, Allie X, Siouxie and the Banshees and Depeche Mode, MODULAR creates a unique soundscape in the spirit of the times.

Their highly acclaimed debut EP "Rauschgift" was followed by the iconic cover "Goldener Reiter" in 2023, an "Autumn Duet" with Kerker and "Zeit steht" in February 2024. At the end of April, MODULAR released the Mia Morgan collab "Erste Große Freiheit": a queer coming-of-age anthem of love and liberation and a perfect soundtrack for the Hot Flinta* Summer.
