23:54. A1 towards Hamburg. Rain pelts against the windshield of the Polo 86C named Agneta. Accompanied by wafting synths and spherical sounds, the Hamburg native by choice drives through the depths of the night. Her deliberately fluid soundscapes create contrasts that urge to merge. Between nostalgia and progressiveness, MODULAR is not easy to grasp - self-referential, socially critical, feminist. It captures the dark and beautiful, the gray and colorful, the warm and cold, Düsseldorf and Hamburg and creates a new German-language romanticism of 80s nostalgia. In the field of tension between alternative, wave and indie pop, a unique world of sound is created in the spirit of the times.

On stage, MODULAR invites you on a journey away from everyday life and into a fictitious home. The audience celebrates together when she sings about first queer love or emancipation from a toxic relationship. With its unmistakable stage presence, artistic stage design and emotionality, MODULAR has the audience in the palm of its hand and inspires them. After their acclaimed debut EP (including Spotify "Fresh Finds GSA" cover, "Das WETTER" cover) and the successful single "Erste Große Freiheit" with Mia Morgan (including rotation and airplay on BR Puls, Radio Fritz, MDR Sputnik and many more as well as a placement for the music video on MTV), MODULAR's new EP "Trümmer" (release date: 26.07.24) deals with holding on to and letting go of relationships, memories and people. Between nostalgic transfiguration and progressive impulses, it captures the happiness and pain of coming of age. MODULAR's new sound is sometimes sassy and energetic, sometimes emotional and fragile, and delivers anthemic hooks between alternative, wave and indie pop.
