Wednesday, May 7 - " Possibility Spaces": We make the future!
From 6 pm we invite you to the exhibition "trotz alledem!", followed by the cultural show "Möglichkeitsräume" at 7 pm. Here we will discuss how we can support young initiatives in our city that deal with democracy, youth and sustainability.

An event with:

• the show band "Ballhaus Miezen"

Thursday, May 8 - Exhibition and musical reading with Kurt Tallert
The exhibition "trotz alledem!" continues from 6 pm.

At 7 pm, Kurt Tallert will also present a musical reading from his debut work "Spur und Abweg", in which he deals with the history of persecution of his German-Jewish family: Tallert (born 1986), known as rapper "Retrogott", reflects on the persecution of his father and the effects on his own generation. Through memories, letters and photos of his family, he embarks on an emotional journey that ranges from his childhood in Bad Honnef to the roots of his Jewish ancestors. The reading is both a powerful and intimate declaration of love to his traumatized father and explores the importance of remembering and forgetting.

In cooperation with the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation.

Friday, May 9 - Vorglühen with Open Ohr-Förderverein e.V.
An evening full of music and hands-on activities awaits you from 6 pm!

In addition to the exhibition "trotz alledem!", the "Chor Rote Neustadt" choir will be singing at 7 pm

Afterwards there will be a democracy quiz: The motto of this year's Open Ohr Festival is "Louder! Democrats!" and a strong democracy needs informed people: How well do you know about the topic? Test your knowledge in the quiz about democracy. The QR code for participation will be provided on the day of the event. Have fun taking part!

From 8 p.m., the Mainz band "King Mofa" will put you in a good summer mood with their rousing mix of reggae, calypso and punk rock.

Saturday, May 10 - finale/get-together: Mainz kocht!
At Mainz kocht! you will experience an unforgettable evening with twelve new acquaintances and a delicious three-course menu. You prepare one course in pairs, the other two courses are served to you. The vision: to connect people, create space for encounters and bring generations together. Mainz kocht! focuses on sustainability: participants cook with rescued food and are sensitized to the issue of food waste.

At 10 pm we invite you to a get-together in the Kulturei - enjoy the final exchange and have inspiring conversations!

No registration necessary for the get-together.
