MOLASS - EP Release Concert "WAIT FOR IT" at Artheater Cologne | 26.11.2025

With their new EP WAIT FOR IT, MOLASS celebrate their release concert on November 26, 2025.
concert and bring fresh, cross-genre neo soul directly to the Artheater Köln.

MOLASS are no ordinary band - they are a movement that is redefining the neo soul genre.
redefined. Their music is a fusion of old and new, a play between hot and cold that
and cold, moving emotions that are difficult to put into words. Inspired by
artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Moses Sumney and The Alan Parsons Project, the band dares to take
musical leaps into unexpected depths, breaking down conventional genre boundaries.

Funk, jazz and electronic elements serve as a starting point, but are never fully
formulated to the end. Rather, they merge with the strikingly multi-faceted voice of front woman
front woman Marissa Möller into a "groovy fairytale". The sound of MOLASS is honest,
courageous and soulful - carried by the well-rehearsed band line-up with keyboarder Jan
Lammert, bassist Julian Schwiebert and drummer Lambert Windges.

The Cologne-based band made a name for themselves in 2021 with 2nd place in the renowned
"Future Sounds" competition at the Leverkusen Jazz Days. This was followed by the album
Piece Of Mass (2022) and the EP Heaviness & Hopes.

In 2024, MOLASS played a successful UK tour and in 2025 came 2nd at the
international Montreux Jazz Festival Band Contest - out of hundreds of entries from
from all over the world.

On 26.11. the band will now perform their brand new EP WAIT FOR IT live on stage.
