In a live podcast event presented by the VALEARA Centers for Psychiatry, Neurology and Psychotherapy on February 13, 2025, presenter Miriam Davoudvandi from the WDR-COSMO podcast "Danke, gut. Der COSMO Podcast über Pop und Psyche" and the well-known author ("Weiber. Von Dinkelmüttern, Powerfrauen und anderen Emanzen") and activist Toyah Diebel will discuss motherhood - honestly, directly and bluntly.
The two women talk about how much the psyche can be shaken even before birth, what influence one's own mother has on motherhood and why we must finally stop explaining to mothers what makes a "good mother". The open discussion shows how overwhelming social expectations can be for the already strained soul of a mother - and why it is time to question these clichés.
The live podcast presented by VALEARA will take place on February 13, 2025 in the run-up to the exhibition "MAMA. From Maria to Merkel" (from March 12 to August 3, 2025) in the Robert Schumann Hall of the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf.
Note: Photos and film footage will be taken during the event for promotional purposes, which will be used on our website and in social media
