Monday Shorts

In the organizer's words:

To the theater on a Monday night? No question about it! We are looking forward to the continuation of the "Monday Shorts", where artists and employees present specially designed programs on our small but fine stage in the theater restaurant. There is acting and singing, new ensemble members introduce themselves to the Lübeck audience, there are readings, improv shows and quiz evenings as well as quirky performances and stimulating discussion formats. The ever-popular "tastings" also continue to sail under this flag: shortly before our premieres, we invite you to take a look at rehearsals and our directing teams talk about their concepts. And the same applies in future: admission is free!

November

November begins with an insight into the musical play development "WTF?!" at the Kammerspiele. On 11/11/24 there will be more reports from the dating scene for all those who are still single despite the tips from episode 1, and on 18/11/24 we will introduce you to theater professions and colleagues who normally work behind the scenes. Christa Wolf's interpretation of the Medea saga is the focus of the tasting on 25/11/24.

December

The Monday Shorts start December with a concert: our theater musician Willy Daum recites Kurt Schwitters' "Ursonate" - seriously funny. This will be followed on 09/12 by the second part of LUEBECCA, MY LOVE, in which Anna-Lena Hitzfeld will once again be in conversation with everyday heroes of the city. On the following Monday, there will be "Greek mythology told in a different way", which will focus primarily on the female characters. And for the last December episode on 23/12, we invite everyone who is "lonely" despite all the Christmas romance.

January

The new year gets off to a magical start: in the second edition of "Fairy tales told differently" on 13/01, the well-known stories will be given a contemporary makeover and have a few dramaturgical surprises in store for you! One week later, our play club will be showing rehearsal excerpts from its current production "MIXED SIGNALS". And on 27/01 there will be another taster, this time of a real theater classic: "Don Karlos" by Friedrich Schiller.
