Playful yet profound, the celebrated Finnish pianist, composer, arranger and improviser Iiro Rantala is able to move between genres and do what he does best: his own thing. This time, Rantala unfolds a lively Venetian panorama in an amusing interplay with the Münster Symphony Orchestra. Works by Sibelius, Prokofiev, Monteverdi, Vivaldi and Mozart - composers who are all associated with Venice - are transformed with wit, charm and a sunny disposition into an inspiring blend of classical, baroque and jazz.
