In the organizer's words:

With "ALLES WOLLEN NICHTS MÜSSEN", the MONOSTARS present perhaps their strongest, noisiest, now seventh "post-punk" album, released on Alfred Hilsberg's Hamburg cult label ZickZack and once again mixed by Martin Schulze, who can often be found at the mixing desk with The Notwist. And after almost three decades of band history, they remain true to themselves: a band without gimmicks out of conviction. They don't care about charming demarcations or questions of style. And their music and lyrics resemble a kind of écriture automatique, a collection of tracks and voices. This time they offer a selection of sounds from modern civilization: the underground car park, the elevator shaft, the warehouse at night. Rigid enclosures of the consequences of total mobility. Conceived as triumphs of human omnipotence over space, now symbols of the horrors of land sealing, world modularization and CO2 death frenzy. And on their seventh album, the Monostars no longer travel through these realms at a brisk Kraftwerk or Neu! four-quarter trot as they once did, no, now they chug heavily and deeply over asphalt and concrete, like big dark fish on wheels. In short: majestically casual.

We celebrate together with the two Munich bands VORWÄRTS RÜCKWÄRTS and TH€ $OUND OF MON€¥. VORWÄRTS RÜCKWÄRTS released their debut album a year ago, a beautifully noisy mix of post-punk and noise that hammered into us with every snare beat: "Our city no longer deserves us". And TH€ $OUND OF MON€¥ pursued the "anagrammatic exorcism of the sixties" with their last album. If you think that's all too cryptic, you can look forward to one or two songs from their upcoming album, which is due for release in spring 2025.
