In September 2023, the SEA PUNK I set sail for the first time to do what should be a matter of course: Helping people on the run. The documentary "GOOD LUCK. GOOD LIFE" accompanies the crew on this first rescue mission in the Mediterranean and tells the story of a radical "just do it". The Sea Punks e.V. did not stand by and watch, but acted - and bought a ship, converted it and put it into action. But getting there was anything but easy.

Since 2014, more than 27,000 people have died trying to escape war, persecution and economic misery across the Mediterranean. The Sea Punk I takes a simple stance against this: Stop watching.

We are showing the film to talk to Stefanie Groth, director of SEA PUNKS e.V., about sea rescue, European borders and the reality in the Mediterranean. And to listen to other people who carry out these rescue missions.

Synopsis:
