#Motherfuckinghood. Theater und Talk rund um das Muttersein

The play #Motherfuckinghood by Claude de Demo and Jorinde Dröse from the Berliner Ensemble will be performed at the Kunstpalast at the invitation of VALEARA. Following the performance, Dr. Christian Utler, gynaecologist, psychotherapist and CEO of the VALEARA Group, and sociologist Prof. Dr. h.c. Jutta Allmendinger talk about motherhood, the role of mothers in the past, today and in the future, and what all this has to do with mental health.

#Motherfuckinghood will be performed in the Robert Schumann Hall. The production, which has been sold out in Berlin for a year, is a collage about experiences of motherhood, about work and care work, feminism and sons, about the feeling of guilt, about the cult of the good mother, and about what it means when women increasingly decide against taking on unpaid reproductive and care work.

Jutta Allmendinger, researcher and professor at Humboldt University Berlin, advised the makers of the play. Allmendinger's research interests include the sociology of the labor market, gender inequality in the world of work and the sociology of the life course.
