Moving Sounds

In the organizer's words:

Moving Sounds is an audio walk.

Starting from the Hanseplatte, we walk together through the Karoviertel.

Into a parking garage and over a bridge, through a park across an industrial site. Do these places all sound the same? What happens when we change places and what do the transitions and the places themselves sound like? Do we hear the social conditions? We experience squares, streets, parks and backyards as concert halls and the walk as a composition. It is about the (musical) perception of our acoustic environment and an artistic approach to everyday sounds.

Moving Sounds follows in the tradition of guided listening walks that have been offered since the 1970s by artists such as Hildegard Westerkamp (Soundwalking) and Pauline Oliveros (Deep Listening). Participants focus on the noises and sounds of their environment without any technology.

You need: 1-2 ears

Registration via Hanseplatte.

ATTENTION: The event is sold out. An additional listening walk will take place on June 12.
