Everyone is coming to Germany: Syrians and fake Syrians. Yes, even the Vietnamese and Congolese suddenly want to be Syrians. The integration industry has been caught flat-footed and totally paralyzed; all it can do is moan "What to do? What next? Do we have to stop the movie in the middle and start again from the beginning or what?" No, not at all! What are the Turks there for? After all, they have 40 years of integration experiments under their belts, which have left their mark. The experience of the Turks - Germany's eternal integration students - is worth its weight in gold. German society can now count on them. Because integration is our kebab. At last, the underestimated and unrecognized Turkish qualities such as pragmatism and inventiveness are on the move and will experience their renaissance. Muhsin, the father of migrant cabaret in Germany and as yet unrecognized integration expert, knows his fellow countrymen and the Germans like no other and proposes, among other things: "INTEGRATION a la IKEA"... Unword of the year 2024 - "Biodeutsch" - creator live at the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr
When Muhsin Omurca first used the term "Bio-Deutscher" in a comic in 1996, he would probably never have thought that his neologism would achieve dubious fame 28 years later: "Biodeutsch" has been named "Unwort des Jahres 2024".
The jury reasoned that the word is used in public and social language, but especially in social media, "to categorize, evaluate and discriminate against people based on supposed biological descent criteria".
Once invented as a humorous description of people without a migration biography and then often used as an ironic phrase in left-wing alternative circles, it has now been appropriated by the new right, especially in social media, with discriminatory intent.
Muhsin Omurca is not bothered by the negative accolade of being named 'bad word of the year'. After all, he is playing with prejudices and clichés.
Ultimately, the debate surrounding his term also draws attention to the discrimination and racism that many migrant-literate people in Germany experience on a daily basis.
