Once again, Munich Rocks! at the Ampere presents Munich bands that have attracted attention for their skills and individuality. Since March 13, 2009, talented musicians from Munich and the surrounding area have been taking the microphone here and regularly confirming to a full house that the local music scene has many musical facets and great potential to offer!
Felinio
Not a note is in its place by chance and yet FELINIO sounds so easy and natural, as if it was created in the blink of an eye. A music that carries the essence of great emotions, that tells stories and invites you to dance. With his bass sound, FELINIO demonstrates an unerring sense of groove and melody. He combines this with discreetly used disco guitars, synth sounds and melancholic, poetic lyrics, which always provide surprises. FELINIO simply has everything you could hope for in German indie pop.

Lener
Fender Strat hanging low, jacket too big, eyes sharp. A figure like an echo from another time - or one that doesn't quite exist yet. Her voice rolls over the riffs like a slow-moving thunderstorm, between Barnett's nonchalance and Patti Smith's feverish restlessness. The melodies teeter between exhaustion and defiance, the lyrics are sketches on crumpled paper - raw, unfinished, honest. Lener's songs are hymns to what was, what could have been, and to the courage to move on anyway. "Maybe in another life", she sings, while the drums bubble underneath like a raging flood of thoughts. An anthem for all the decisions that were not made, for all the turn-offs that led to the unknown. A line for those who lie awake at night wondering what would have happened if... - but that is precisely where its power lies: in the realization that it doesn't matter. That any direction is one, as long as it feels real. Lener doesn't sing this line, she hurls it gently towards the universe, accompanied by Max Wörle, who tears a new path into the evening with every hit on the snare. Her band is no mere pop accessory, but a pulsating machine of rhythm and energy, a vehicle for what needs to be said. Lerner's guitar growls and roars, sometimes with the force of Josh Homme, sometimes with the quirky elegance of St. Vincent. Grunge has always been music for seekers, for those teetering between euphoria and loss of control. And that's exactly where Lener comes in - somewhere between awakening and abyss. She represents a new generation of songwriters who don't filter emotions, but transform them - into distorted guitars, fragile harmonies and lyrics that echo like an echo from a bygone future.

The Kitsch
Das Kitsch is a trio that sounds so much bigger than the three-man band on stage looks. You look, listen and are amazed that the other half of the band hasn't turned up and that the sound isn't rattling out of any jacks. Instead, the lush groove goes straight to the body and the dandy-like dancing lyrics go straight to the mind. Das Kitsch released their third studio album "Dauerschleife" on 01.11.2024 via popup-records. In addition to this album, the band has already released two albums, an EP and several singles. The trio has around 2,600 monthly listeners on Spotify and their most-listened track has already been streamed 25,000 times. On the radio, Das Kitsch can be heard on stations such as egoFM, DLF Kultur, Bayern 2, BR Puls, Bremen 2, radioeins and many student radio stations. Since the beginning of 2023, the trio has been playing nationwide concerts in clubs and bars and have a lot of fun doing it! The most gallant dandy band of these days is giving the world a new album, finally, or rather, infinitely, because the title is both a promise and a fulfillment: "Dauerschleife" is the name of the record and describes the heavy lightness of their songs like the enduring promise of a never-ending summer: lazy, vibrant, salty and hot.
