Museumsfest im Bergischen Museum

Welcome to the museum festival!

Experience an extraordinary day with a varied program on the entire grounds of the Bergisches Museum für Bergbau, Handwerk und Gewerbe.

Here, historical crafts come to life and you will learn, among other things, how people baked 150 years ago, what a wheelwright is and how forging, spinning and weaving were done.

Our permanent exhibition invites the whole family to marvel, explore and try things out. There are guided tours through the visitor gallery on the subject of mining and great hands-on activities for children. You can also visit the various information and activity stands.

Finally, our numerous seating and rest areas offer the opportunity to take a breather. There will also be a range of drinks, cakes and delicacies from the bakery and barbecue.

Admission costs €3.00, concessions €1.50. Free admission for children of pre-school age.
