EIGHT BRIDGES

A song of the earth for our time - the writer Händl Klaus and the composer Hèctor Parra have no less in mind. Olivia and Bruno trudge through a glowing, dead landscape. Sung and spoken words create an impossible dialog between two lonely figures. A great work about farewell and loss, love and life. The clarinet concerto by the important composer Kaija Saariaho is inspired by medieval carpets with images of a woman and a unicorn. A work in which the soloist literally "wanders" through the landscape of the Philharmonie.
