Immerse yourself in a sonorous journey between innovation and tradition: the Berlin duo Liquid Soul (Beate Gatscha and Gert Anklam) and the Norwegian singer Kari Heimen combine the sounds of the water organ, joik singing and other special instruments such as hang, aquarion and saxophone in a unique way.

At the heart of the program is the water organ developed by Liquid Soul, an instrument that produces sounds directly from the element of water. Inspired by the diverse manifestations of water - liquid, frozen, as snow or steam - the musicians create compositions that move beyond conventional styles. With humor and virtuosity, Gatscha and Anklam make these special sounds resound, complemented by their collaboration with artists from different cultures.

Joik singer Kari Heimen, who comes from Sápmi, the land of the coastal Sami in the far north of Norway, combines traditional and modern soundscapes. Joik, one of the oldest vocal traditions in Europe, tells of the people, animals and nature of her homeland. Kari performs traditional joiks as well as her own modern interpretations and accompanies herself on the frame drum, whose playing she enriches with influences from India and the Middle East.

The joint program musically tells of the beauty and fragility of our world. From the rugged coastline to the delicate sounds of the water, the artists invite you to feel the sound of the earth in touching and haunting moments. An unforgettable evening that inspires wonder and reflection.
