This sensual musical journey offers an impressive balance between tradition and innovation: the charming singer António Zambujo immerses himself in the Portuguese sound cosmos with a wonderfully fitting instrumental accompaniment - and thus in a fully composed attitude to life full of melancholy. In a fascinating way, he interweaves the famous style of fado with a special style of singing from his home region called Cante Alentejano - and also allows influences from jazz, pop, bossa nova and samba to shine through. Under the title "Cidade", his friend and singer-songwriter Miguel Araújo has written a whole series of irresistible songs especially for him, which capture the everyday life and loneliness of people in a big city. There will also be more world music and the opportunity to dance samba, salsa or bachata at the atmospheric opening of the "Eigenzeit" festival that evening: There will be a dance workshop before the concert - followed by an exuberant Noche de Salsa with charismatic artist Olvido Ruiz Castellanos and her ensemble.
