Musikfestival: KlangForum Heidelberg - Verbundene Augen, geschlossener Mund

KlangForum Heidelberg presents its usual exciting program of important choral works, rich in contrasts and relationships: Domenico Scarlatti follows Mary's suffering under the cross with impulsive, very sensual music. Old forms filled with a new, romantic spirit can be found in the three motets by Johannes Brahms. In the world premiere of Salvatore Sciarrino's "Due Cori" from Aeschylus' "Agamemnon" tragedy, Cassandra states the impermanence of human destiny. "With closed mouths" the singers bid farewell to the great Wolfgang Rihm.
