Music Mile Chemnitz - Diversity. Music. Together.

Every year since 2015, Bandbüro Chemnitz e.V. has transformed the city center into a lively stage: Musikmeile Chemnitz is a free open-air festival that has become a permanent highlight of the local music scene. For three days - from August 1 to 3, 2025 - Chemnitz is all about music, diversity and encounters.

Clear the stage for Chemnitz
The focus is on up-and-coming local artists who can gain their first stage experience in a professional environment and present their musical potential to a wide audience. The Music Mile sees itself as a platform for promoting young talent - a showcase for the vibrant, creative diversity of our city.

A festival for everyone
The Music Mile is for everyone. Free admission also enables people on low incomes to participate in culture. The festival uses the power of music to connect people from different backgrounds, break down barriers and promote open interaction.

Special attention is paid to diversity, equal opportunities and gender equality - both on and off stage. The Music Mile consciously sets an example against discrimination and for a diverse society.
