"Guitarist Chambers achieves the distinctly American blues/soul/country/rock sound that the Stones used to aspire to long ago." - Jerry Shriver, USA TODAY Sean Chambers began his career in 1998 as guitarist and bandleader for the legendary Hubert Sumlin, with whom he toured regularly until 2003. He was described by the British Guitarist as "one of the best 50 blues guitarists of the last century". His guitar-heavy blues rock is reminiscent of greats such as Gary Moore and Jeff Healey and earned him an entry in the Florida Music Hall of Fame. His first solo album "Ten Til Midnight" stayed in the US blues charts for over three months. The subsequent live album "Live from the Long Island Blues Warehouse" not only received rave reviews, but was also awarded the prize for best blues album in 2011. His eighth studio album entitled "That's What I'm Talkin About" was released in 2020 and is a tribute to his mentor, the late Hubert Sumlin. In 2023, shortly after the death of Savoy Brown's founder Kim Simmonds, Chambers teamed up with Savoy Brown's rhythm section (Pat De Salvo on bass and Garnet Grimm on drums). Chambers and the members of Savoy Brown had become friends at a joint festival performance in 2019. As Savoy Brown and Sean Chambers are on the same record label (Quarto Valley Records), the collaboration felt right for all three musicians. Kim Simmonds also fully supported the three and gave them his blessing shortly before his death on December 13, 2022.
