The Courage Makers seminars are a staged project in which we want to explore values, opinions and daring topics.
It makes sense to take part if you are already firmly established in your opinions and have already dealt in detail with forms of discrimination, privilege, activism, commitment... as well as if you have not yet done so.
Our aim is to consolidate our positions and educate ourselves in the areas that interest us. We - in our case volunteers of the ESR - want to empower ourselves as volunteers to work on political and social issues. We look forward to welcoming all people who also want to do this, without participation obliging you to become an ESR volunteer.
The seminars build on each other and our vision is to jointly design a program for an international leisure time for young people aged 16 and over based on the topics developed and to offer this leisure time.
Each seminar will take place in a different location, which can be reached from Cologne/Düsseldorf/Bonn within 1-2 hours by public transport, and will focus on the following topics:
In this seminar, we will focus on the question "Who am I and what is political about me?".
The other seminars will focus on the following questions:
2. categorization - How does the world I live in work and how do I find it?
3. implementation - How can I become active and get others involved?
To take part in these, you must have attended the first seminar, as this is the only way to ensure that we can build on the same level of knowledge.
*In order to be able to accompany the youth camp as a team leader, you should be at least 18 years old and have experience as a team leader or a JuLeiCa.
